This page is about the Tabslip website. The software runs on your computer and sends nothing to this site.

Who is responsible?

I, Vincent Schmalbach, run this website. My address and contact details are in the imprint.

What happens when you open a page?

Your browser sends a request for the page. This includes your IP address and details about your browser. Fonts and images load from this site.

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on your device. It is not sent to this site. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Links to other websites, such as GitHub, take you to services with their own privacy rules.

Where is the website hosted?

Cloudflare, Inc. delivers this site and protects it from attacks. It processes your IP address and request details to do that. The origin server is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Falkenstein, Germany. The origin keeps no log of page visits for this site. It keeps technical error logs. Fonts and images load from this site.

What about cookies and analytics?

The site sets no cookies of its own. It counts visits with Plausible Analytics, operated by Plausible Insights OÜ in Estonia. Plausible uses no cookies and does not keep your IP address. It uses your IP address and browser details to create a daily identifier for counting visits. The script loads from this site, and this site passes the events to Plausible. Cloudflare can set a short-lived security cookie when it checks unusual traffic.

The legal basis for delivering and protecting the site, and for counting visits, is my legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

What are your rights?

You can ask what personal data about you is stored. You can ask for a copy, correction or deletion, or ask to restrict its use. You can object to its use and complain to a data protection authority. Contact me through the details in the imprint.
